Write for us
Lively People Guide welcomes well-shaped contributions about communication, cooperation, groups, difference and belonging. We are interested in pieces that make a social idea clearer without pretending that one explanation fits every person or setting.
What makes a good pitch
Send a concise proposal that names the subject, the central idea and why a general reader might find it useful. Include the piece’s likely shape and any important qualifications: for example, where an idea applies, where it may not, or what readers should not infer from it. A distinct angle and a concrete everyday example help us assess a proposal.
What we welcome
We consider clear explanatory essays, thoughtful comparisons, cultural background and practical pieces grounded in ordinary social situations. We value careful language, independent thinking and examples that do not expose private information or treat an individual as a stand-in for a whole group.
Sending a proposal
Send pitches through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Please describe your proposal in your own words; no credentials or personal biography are required. A pitch is a proposal, not a guarantee of publication.
